“To provide gentle, healing touch is a privilege."
Elizabeth Rosado Alvelo
LMT, NCTMB
A wise man once said, “find out what you are really good at and do that. Just trust that the rest will fall into place."
This wise man had seven children, who’d each take their respective turn rubbing his tired, achy feet after a long day of work, standing on a cold, hard cement factory floor. The oldest, resentfully sat the longest at his feet. And despite her stubbornness and attempts to disconnect, her hands knew what to do. She did not understand how the power of touch gently transforms another’s perspective, attitude and disposition. But, the wise man felt the change and encouraged her.
It is in the memory of this wise man, my father, that I fully embrace my calling and what touch can bring to another’s life.
